How Team To Credit works

Your league sets the list
Administrators maintain a Volunteer Credit Teams list — usually one entry per team in your league. It's separate from the teams on your game schedule, so you control exactly what parents can pick.

Parents choose at signup
Every signup form includes a required Team To Credit field. A parent umpiring a Minors game can credit their child's Majors team, for example.

Credit is recorded
Each volunteer assignment stores the credited team, so participation is visible by team across umpire and concession duties.

Why credit by team?

Many leagues set volunteer expectations at the team level — each team covers a share of umpire games and concession shifts. Crediting by team makes that expectation measurable without asking coaches to keep their own spreadsheets. Parents with kids on two teams simply choose which one gets the credit.

Team credit questions

Is the credit team list the same as our schedule's teams?

No. Volunteer Credit Teams are a separate list your league controls, so schedule imports never change what parents can credit.

Is Team To Credit required?

Yes. Every signup must choose a credited team, so there are no unassigned duties.

Can we retire a team mid-season?

Yes. You can deactivate a team so it no longer appears for new signups while keeping past credit intact.
